I can't wait for Amanda to get back and share with us about her experience!
This is John Denton’s Blog. John Denton is the Youth Director at Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church in Laguna Niguel, California.

Last night was our 20th annual Christmas party on skid row in Los Angeles. My dad, Eric Denton, has been feeding homeless on the Streets of LA every Sunday night for the last 20 years. Hundreds of volunteers joined the Jackets for Jesus team last night for a great party on the streets. We handed out over 700 backpacks full of clothes, food, and other items a homeless person might need plus served food as normal. Here are a few pictures from our night. Thanks to all of the great volunteers who came out.
Central Community has three Christmas Eve Service's! Come experience one of our beautiful candle light Christmas Eve Service's in Riverside, California at 7pm, 9pm, and 11pm. Bring your entire family. Give us a call if you have any questions 951.689.5806.
It's strange how I keep on getting older. I used to be mistaken for a student in the youth group not the youth pastor. Now it is not uncommon for students to ask me if I am 30? Time fly's. Today I am celebrating my birthday by taking a 2 hour College Algebra final (my last class ever... or at least until I start graduate work), hanging out with the youth group at our Thursday night gathering, and then finishing my day at my parents house for dinner and cake. Tomorrow Stephanie is taking the day off to hang out with me so that should be great.Saturday December 20th

Are you looking for a place to volunteer this Thanksgiving? We have a great opportunity for you. This is our 21st Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Central Community, and we need your help to make it our best yet. Here are the details:
Tyrone Wells is awesome. Great music. Good times. Plus the concert was free (and there was free chips and salsa!). Pictured is the clock tower at UCR.
Tyrone is most likely playing 'Sea Breeze' at this moment in the night. The Barn was not crowded at all and Steph and I sat in the front row.
After the show Tyrone hung out and chatted for a bit. We talked about our wedding and youth ministry. It was great night. For more about UCR's concerts go to www.kucr.org. Check out Tyrone Wells on iTunes, he releases a new album December 9th.
So every blog I've read today has had a nice picture of the surf, I figured I would keep the ball rolling (I have only read 'surfy surfy' that might explain it). I spent my early morning enjoying nice waves and great weather. I hope your day off is going to be as refreshing as mine.
