I always get picked on (golf tournament)

Well. The 2nd Annual Simpre Para Los Ninos Golf Tournament was awesome. We raised a lot of money for a great cause and had fun doing. Thank you to everyone who golfed, bought auction items, and volunteered. I golfed with my dad, uncle, and friend from church. We each hit a few shots for the highlight real and did rather well in the tournament. The climax of my evening was winning the amazing living wreath. I don't remember entering the raffle for it but whatever. I won! Everyone thought it was rather funny I won the item and I was picked on the rest of the night.

Ride your bike to work!

Call me a revolutionary but I am sure gas prices are hurting your wallet too. Cutting out cross town driving has been saving cash and polluting less. I have been riding my bike around town lately and have really been enjoying it. My morning commute now consist of grabbing my messenger bag, getting on my bike, ridding to Starbucks, then ridding in a few blocks to work. It's a little tricky ridding with coffee in hand but it's worth it for me. Today I even dropped off a RedBox rental on my way to Starbucks. The amazing thing is I normally get to my office in the same time on my bike as I do driving (Plus or minus a few minutes).

Listening to music

Some where along the line somebody dropped the ball! My dad recently with the help of a friend brought his Marantz 2270 Stereo back to life. Accompanied by his AR Turntable and Cream's Wheels of Fire. This afternoon we spent a few minutes listening to music, and wow. The sound was pure 100% analog. No digitalization; listening to the album the way Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce intended it to be heard. After 6 years of being hooked to my iPod and music digitally compressed to 128 kbps, I am ready to trash my iPod and drop a few hundred dollars on ebay. I don't care what iPod dock you have (the bose sound dock is great but still). You really cant beat the listening experience provided by older systems such as my dads Marantz. Today I am convinced the only reason the music standard has become so low is because this generation has never heard others wise. This concludes my randoms blog for today.

A post to follow up with past post?

Recently I was called out on a few past post. You might be asking "John are you still training for a triathlon?" The answer is of course! Yes! It is just harder than I thought and swimming is difficult. Once I learn to swim more efficiently and can swim long distances without feeling near death I will most likely enter my first triathlon. I was also asked about my lack of video blogs. After a few weeks of computer problems I think I am about ready to get the video blogs rolling on my new computer. My MacBook still works but I am to lazy to carry with me to my office (yes I live a block or two away but still). Last but not least, I realize that my blogs have been full of cell phone pictures and am working on my motivation level to give you more amazing content and less strange stuff!

Accept,
John

Not Quite Opening Day

Despite Vlad's efforts to rally the Angel's to victory the crowd was silenced by a two run homer run with two outs in the 9th... ouch. Overzealous fans were heartbroken; especially this guy who brought a box of chocolates for Angels star Vladimir Guerrero. Stephanie and I had a great time at the game and it was good to be back at the big 'A'.

Guess?

This photo looks bad, but what an awesome day. Good waves, no one out, and, little wind. I dragged Chris, a student in the youth group, along with me today surfing. We had a blast. Walking in I bumped into my friend Kalana who I hadn't seen forever. So that was cool. What a day. Tomorrow is video blog day! Peace.
