Listening to music

Some where along the line somebody dropped the ball! My dad recently with the help of a friend brought his Marantz 2270 Stereo back to life. Accompanied by his AR Turntable and Cream's Wheels of Fire. This afternoon we spent a few minutes listening to music, and wow. The sound was pure 100% analog. No digitalization; listening to the album the way Clapton, Ginger Baker, and Jack Bruce intended it to be heard. After 6 years of being hooked to my iPod and music digitally compressed to 128 kbps, I am ready to trash my iPod and drop a few hundred dollars on ebay. I don't care what iPod dock you have (the bose sound dock is great but still). You really cant beat the listening experience provided by older systems such as my dads Marantz. Today I am convinced the only reason the music standard has become so low is because this generation has never heard others wise. This concludes my randoms blog for today.
