Last night we celebrated my grandfathers 94th birthday. The big news was that my cousins have a new puppy. Pat’s holding it in this picture but I believe that Derek and Reggie are the most excited. There is something about a new dog. I remember when my family went to the pound and picked out our first dog Chelsea. My sister and I both agreed that we would feed and water her every day and take the best care of her. I believe that my parents ended up feeding that dog, picking up after her, and staying up with her when she was barking at night. It was cool to have a dog but I was only four or five so how much could I really do to take care of a dog. The excitement is so much fun, but the week in and week out care is so hard. Sometimes we forget, sometimes we want to go do other things, eventually the excitement goes away, the dog grows up, and the list goes on. Dedicated pet owners have great relationships with their animals and I know that Derek and Reggie are going to have a friend for life in their new little puppy.

Who is that ridiculously good looking guy holding the puppy?
Hey John - its Jon from CBU. I found your blog through my boss' blog (Mike Lovato). My favorite part of this post is this... "we celebrated my grandfathers 94th birthday today, but the big news is the new puppies." I like that 94 years of life don't make the headlines over puppies...
Talk to you later.
Jon- Your boss is a great guy. I had a few classes with you at CBU; yes. And my grandfather is incredible and there is not enough I could say about his 94 years of life. Check out my newest blog for a list of things that makes my grandfather blog worthy. Are you still at CBU?
