Surfing

One of the key aspects of surfing is waves. Yesterday unfortunately there were no waves to be found. After checking online surfer reports, getting my board and wetsuit together, I was ready to go surf. I left at around 4:45am with great anticipation of a fun morning of surf. I was wrong. I walked up to the beautiful pacific ocean and it was flat. I have a little rule that I never break though. I get in the water no matter what when I go surfing. There is no walking out, until I get in the water a paddle around. In the summer it’s easy just to jump in the water and splash around; the water is 70 degrees and the air temperature is 80. In the winter it is a completely different story; the water temp is 57 degrees and the air is around 45 degrees, freezing cold. Regardless I got into the water and floated around for an hour; I actually scored a few waves, and had a good time. I find it amazing that in such a busy word I can spend time alone in solitude. Make sure to spend a few seconds alone today, you will accomplish more than you think.
